The league

A track bike has one gear and no brakes. You slow down by climbing the banking and speed up by dropping off it. Everything else is legs.

Banked runs eight race nights each winter — sixteen teams, four formats, one board track. Doors at six, first whistle at seven, last sprint before ten.

Race nights

Four formats, every night

Keirin

Six riders behind the pacer, then a free-for-all.

Madison

Two riders per team, swapped in by hand-sling.

Scratch

Everyone starts together. First across the line.

Points

A sprint every ten laps. Consistency wins.
